Koen Otten heeft bijzonder veel ervaring opgedaan in binnen- en buitenland, zowel indoor als outdoor in zomer- en wintercompetities. In een gesprek met René Ranzijn legt hij niet alleen uit hoe hij dat heeft aangepakt, maar vooral welke onvergetelijke ervaringen hij daarbij heeft opgedaan. Ervaringen die hij vandaag de dag onder meer gebruikt bij lesgeven en shows ontwerpen voor verschillende verenigingen.

Koen heeft onder meer zomers gelopen bij Blue Devils en Beatrix. Bij die laatste vereniging is hij nu caption head van Beatrix Indoor Winds, in 2019 de eerste Nederlandse deelnemer aan de WGI Winds competitie.
