Join our Global Friendship Competition

CGN hosts the Global Online Friendship Competition for Percussion, Color Guard and Winds

A great variety in groups and cultures attracts top groups as well as beginning talents

A little treasure is growing in the world. In these difficult times all over the world, Indoor Performing Art groups are struggling. Marching Bands, Percussion ensembles, Color Guard and Concert Bands can’t do what they want to do….Perform for an audience. They miss it enormously. But not only that….in many countries groups cannot even get together to practice. In some countries bands have not practiced for almost a year.

CGN initiated an online competition and reached out to friends all over the world to join this Global Online Competition. Although it is a competition, the main purpose is to give groups and individuals a purpose to continue in what they do love most…..make music, dance , toss a flag, rifle or sabre. This concept was warmly welcomed and embraced by many groups. At the moment of this there are almost 120 entries from 14 countries and everyday we receive information requests from interested groups. We expect more countries to join.

We offer the ‘Classic indoor competition’ but then online for Color Guard, Indoor Percussion and Indoor Winds, Solo and Ensemble competitions, Drum Challenges, Brass Challenges, Guard Challenges, Concertband competition and the eTalent Showcase. Except for the eTalent Showcase all groups will receive digital feedback from a very experienced and mixed panel of judges

Also we see a great diversity in the participants. We have newcomers to the Indoor Performing arts as well as world wide established groups from among the most elite groups in the world. To name a few: Dartmouth Indoor Percussion, Chino World Guard and George Mason University Indoor Percussion from the USA. The world famous Suranaree Girls Symphony Orchestra, the Ratwinit Bangkaeo Wind Symphony, 8 Row Percussion and Nakhonratchasima College of Dramatic Arts from Thailand. European Top contender The Pride of the Netherlands and Mosson drum & bugle corps from Italy. Also some new groups from The Phiillipines, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Venezuela all united in the CGN Global Online Competition.
